Description
This bass is in excellent condition, other than some fine scratches on the pickguard (see pics).
The Japanese brand “Atelier Z” has established a sound character through collaboration with artists, and is trusted by many artists.
This model, Kenji “JINO” Hino signature model, is made of ash body and maple neck.
The fretboard features a block position with binding on the fingerboard sides, reminiscent of 1970s Fender Jazz Basses. Badass II bridge, Atelier Z original single coil pickups and Seymour Duncan MM type humbuckers in JHJ layout.
The controls are 2-band EQ in addition to 2 volumes for single coil and MM type volume/pickup selector mini switch. Compared to the standard J/J layout models, the JHJ has a wider range of controls to suit a wider range of playing styles.
Of course, it is possible to switch the passive tone bypassing the preamp.
It has a tight but thick bass with clear contours, and a strong attack that produces a crisp treble sound.
